People often ask what the default column widths are for the Divi theme and I thought I would share these with you.  As you probably know already, uploading images in the exact size they are going to appear on your website is best for the site loading speed.  Also, I like to make my images the same height, which means I typically edit them before uploading.  If you want to compress your images I like to use https://tinypng.com.

1 column: 1080 pixels
¾ column: 795 pixels
⅔ column: 700 pixels
½ column: 510 pixels
⅓ column: 320 pixels
¼ column: 225 pixels

For sliders:

  • If you are using the parallax effect, and your slide is full screen make your image 1280 pixels and Divi will default to 768 pixels in height.  If you don’t want the height to be that tall, use the Divi Booster Plugin to make a fixed height of whatever suits your design.
  • The height of a slide is determined by the amount of text content that you add.  If you have multiple slides, then your slider height will assume the height of your tallest slide.
